In China, 450 cases of copyright infringement and online piracy, for a total of 160 crimes, were countered by a national campaign, which cost 524 million yuan (about $ 75.07 million). The National Copyright Administration of China (NCAC) said that about 1.1 million links to pirated content were removed during the campaign and nearly 11 million pirated products were confiscated. More than 30 major cases of illegal movie film recordings worth 230 million yuan have been investigated.

More than 200 suspects have been arrested and 418 sites and applications have been shut down for broadcasting pirated content. During the campaign, the authorities severely thwarted the unauthorized reproduction of media information products and strengthened copyright control in the image and streaming media markets. The administration has released a list of 67 copyrighted works, including the film "The Wandering Earth".

It also established a supervisory mechanism for pirated sites and applications and eliminated more than 30,000 pirated movie information. The "Sword Net 2019" campaign against Internet copyright infringement was launched in April by NCAC, the Chinese Administration for Cyberspace, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Public Security.
