The former deputy of Article One Arturo Scotto was attacked by some neo-fascists last night in Venice, in Piazza San Marco, during the New Year celebrations. A complaint was filed this morning to the Carabinieri. To tell the story, on his Facebook page, it was the wife of the politician, Elsa Bertholet: "A group behind me - he writes - sings 'Anna Frank you ended up in the oven', I turn around: 'Guys enough!', They put to shout: 'Duce, duce' with raised hand, my husband turns around who had not heard them sing before ... and boum takes a beating in the face from various sides, then a boy gets in the way to help us and they beat him as well he, visibly accustomed to the fact, then flee like cowards they are ".
Investigations are underway, according to what ANSA has learned, by the local police and law enforcement officers who guarded the square yesterday evening.
