(ANSA) - AOSTA, 02 JAN - A rock bar crashed for about 40 meters and did not report serious trauma. It was the heavy snow that saved a 45-year-old Lombard freerider, which cushioned the effects of the fall. The accident occurred in Gressoney-La-Trinité, in the Mos canal, on the Valle d'Aosta side of the Monte Rosa massif. The Aosta Valley Alpine Rescue helicopter intervened on the spot, which transported the skier to the Parini hospital in Aosta.
The helicopter rescue carried out a total of 21 missions on the 2nd of January in Valle d'Aosta, from Courmayeur to Champorcher: most of them were skiing accidents and illnesses.
