(ANSA) - WASHINGTON, JANUARY 7 - Iran is working to undermine the peace process in Afghanistan, where it has relations with the Taliban, among other things: US secretary of state MikePompeo said in a press conference with the state department.
Pompeo also said that any possible targets examined by the US will fall under international war laws. US President Donald Trump had also threatened to strike at Iranian cultural sites (war crime, ed.) In reprisal for the killing of Iranian general Qassem Soleimani.
The US secretary of state then said, reiterating what Trump tweeted yesterday, that Tehran "will not put a damper on the nuclear weapon."
