Lega Pro "no government response to clubs, ready for new actions" (ANSA)

The Serie C will be back on the field next weekend with the matches scheduled between 11 and 13 February but the state of agitation of the clubs remains "which will evaluate with what forms to implement it in the near future". The Lega Pro makes it known in a statement in which it is emphasized that the "requests and proposals made to the government have not had the desired response" and remembers the protest that had led not to take the field for the round scheduled for the 21st and 22 December last.
"With the action of 22 December - it is stated in the note - we wanted to take a decisive position and we could do it because we gained credibility. Now everyone knows that we are not kidding, we raised the main theme for the Serie C clubs: the 2020 must tell us if we are sustainable with the current configuration. We ask the government to support us with measures ranging from the return of the tax credit to new forms of contribution to football (1% of the amount of the betting income etc.), from the revision of the Melandri law to a change relating to the IRAP tax on membership contracts The open question is simple: either resources are found for this original experience of Italian football or the number of clubs must be reduced, contributing to worsening the social quality of the Italy, not just football ".
