The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights confirmed that 107 human rights defenders were killed in Colombia in 2019. UN spokeswoman Marta Hurtado cataloged the number of deaths overwhelmingly and said they are checking another 13 cases and that if confirmed the figure would amount to 120.
