The Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection intensified its patrols on the markets of the city of Al-Hasakah with the aim of controlling prices and emphasizing the circulation of bills and alerting economic and commercial activities not to deal outside the Syrian pound.

In a statement to a SANA correspondent between the Director of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, Ignatius Kasbo, the Directorate has tightened control over the markets in the context of efforts to put an end to price manipulators and violating merchants and foodstuff owners who do not trade in regular bills and do not announce prices clearly.

During a tour of the city’s markets, the residents expressed their satisfaction with the issuance of decrees 3 and 4 of 2020, demanding strict application and non-tolerance with the merchants, and everyone who tries to manipulate the citizens ’food, considering everyone who deals other than the Syrian pound as a partner in the economic war on Syria.

Citizens indicated that the two decrees would curb prices and put an end to all those who begged to do business other than the national currency, calling for the necessity of the presence of consumer protection patrols in the markets and monitoring them to ensure that the citizen is not exploited and blackmailed by the owners of commercial activities.
