There are 1.1 million citizenship income and pension applications accepted by INPS until the beginning of January. Of these families who obtained the benefit, 56,000 have lapsed. So the families holding income (916,000 for 2.4 million people involved) and pension citizenship (126,000 with 143,000 people involved) are overall 1,041,000 for over 2.5 million people involved in the subsidy. This can be read in the INPS Observatory on Citizenship Income. The average monthly amount received by these families is 493 euros.

90% of citizenship income is paid to an Italian while only 6% is paid to non-EU citizens and 3% to European citizens. 1% is paid to family members of these categories. This percentage composition - explains INPS in its Income Report - "has not changed compared to that of the applications submitted up to September, even after the release of the payments of 40,000 applications for non-EU citizens occurred in December".
