Israel: ok to travel to Saudi Arabia

For the first time in the country's history, Israeli citizens will be able to travel to Saudi Arabia, a state with which Israel has no diplomatic ties. The announcement was made by the Minister of the Interior, Arye Deri, in agreement with the Ministry of Defense. (HANDLE)

(ANSAmed) - TEL AVIV, JANUARY 26 - For the first time in the history of the country, Israeli citizens will be able to travel to Saudi Arabia, a state with which Israel has no diplomatic relations. This was announced by the Interior Minister, AryeDeri, in agreement with the Ministry of Defense. The trip, however, can be made either for religious reasons - especially during the Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca - or for working reasons with a stay of no more than 9 days.
In addition, the person must be in possession of an official invitation from the Saudi authorities and no other impediment.
