Chinese authorities announced today to increase financial support for the anti-Corona virus campaign.
"China will work to maintain reasonable and sufficient liquidity, and other efforts will be made to enhance credit support in the manufacturing sector, small and micro enterprises and private companies in the areas most affected by the epidemic," the Xinhua News Agency quoted the People's Bank of China and many other departments as saying in a statement.
The statement called for more efforts to facilitate import of supplies to fight the virus and support cross-border finance companies to control the epidemic, indicating that monetary policy tools such as open market operations will be used to pump sufficient liquidity into the market and keep interest rates at a stable level.
And the Chinese health authorities announced earlier in the day that it had confirmed 11,791 cases of the new Corona virus in 31 regions as of last night, while 259 people had died from the virus.
