(ANSA) - GENOA, FEB 6 - Benetton ends his relationship with Oliviero Toscani after the creative's claims on the collapse of the Morandi Bridge. "Benetton Group, with its President Luciano Benetton, in completely dissociating himself from Oliviero Toscani's statements regarding the collapse of the Ponte Morandi, notes the impossibility of continuing the collaboration relationship with the creative director", is written in a note. Luciano Benetton and the whole company in the note "renew their sincere closeness to the families of the victims and to all those who have been involved in this tremendous tragedy". The story stems from the shocking phrase of Toscani at Ungiorno da Pecora - "but who cares about a bridge, let's stop it" - after the controversy over the photo with Benetton and the founders of the Sardines, a phrase he said "extrapolated" and said yesterday "humanly destroyed". Benetton is one of the members of Autostrade, involved in the collapse of the Morandi bridge in Genoa which on August 14th 2018 caused the death of 43 people.
