Conflict between Israel and Belgium following a host of hostile moves by the European state in the UN Security Council against Israel.

Deputy Director General of International Organizations in the Foreign Ministry, Alon Bar, today reprimanded hard-hitting Pascal Boffin, Belgium's deputy ambassador to the country, following what Israel calls "record-breaking" by the Belgians. Barr also said that if Belgium invites a person on behalf of the Security Council to accuse Israel of "torturing children", this is probably the position of Brussels - and this is very disturbing.

The conflict between the states comes as a result of his summons for a briefing by Brad Parker Security Council, which heads the "Protecting the Children in Palestine." In a series of statements, Parker accused Israel of committing war crimes and "torturing Palestinian children," and even called on Israelis to be tried in the Hague Tribunal. In addition, members of the organization he runs have long been exposed as activists in the Popular Front Terrorist Organization for the Liberation of Palestine.

The Foreign Ministry points out that this is not the first time Belgium has tried to hurt the UN Security Council in Israel. One year ago, the Belgians tried to condemn Israel because of the events in which 50 Palestinians were killed on the opening day of the US embassy in Jerusalem.

"Israel Today" learned that Belgian Ambassador to Belgium, Emmanuel Nachshon, asked in quiet ways for Belgians to cancel Parker's appearance on the Security Council, but his request was rejected.

Yanam Cohen, director of the United States Department of Political Affairs, told Israel Today that "Belgium seems to be making an effort to position itself as the most hostile country to Israel in the Security Council, and Parker's invitation is a negative record of this conduct." "Even so, our expectations from Belgians are low but this time even we are surprised."
