(ANSA) - FLORENCE, FEBRUARY 6 - The firemen of the command of Florence, have completed the definitive consolidation of the churches of San Silvestro in Barberino di Mugello and Sant'Agata in Scarperia and San Piero (Florence) damaged by the earthquake of December 9, 2019 The intervention, carried out with systems of iron keys and chains, will have an unlimited duration in time and will allow the use of the buildings without internal or external limitations.
The installed system of chains creates a constraint superior to that which the building possessed before the earthquake event. The work took place in shorter times and costs than other traditional shoring work, and will have no maintenance costs over time.
