The deputy Olivier Véran, hospital doctor neurologist, replaces Agnès Buzyn who resigned at the head of the Ministry of Health and Solidarity, officially announced the Elysée Palace this Sunday evening.
This appointment follows the departure of the Minister, who hastily replaced Benjamin Griveaux in the race for Paris City Hall.
Despite the current emergency crisis and the health problem linked to the Coronavirus, the Minister had been asked for several days by a number of Walkers and partners of La République en Marche (LREM) to lead the battle of Paris.
