This year Cannes Classics celebrates the 20th anniversary of Wong Kar-wai 's 'In the Mood for Love ', inspired by Liu Yichang's novel.
Presented in the Official Selection and in Competition in May 2000, the film won the Tony Actor Award for Best Actor and won the Grand Prix of the Higher Technical Commission.
The 4K restoration of the film made from the original negative was conducted by Criterion and L'Immagine Ritrovata under the supervision of Wong Kar-wai.
'In the Mood for Love' will be screened at the 73rd Cannes Film Festival, with the participation of the director.
