The French basketball players, bronze medalists at the 2019 World Cup but without their NBA and Euroleague stars, lost 83 to 69 in Germany at Vechta, for their first qualifying meeting at the 2021 European Championship, Friday. Vincent Collet's players will face Montenegro on Monday (6.45 p.m.) in Mouilleron-le-Captif at Vendespace. They are in a qualifying group with Germany, Montenegro and Great Britain, and must finish in the top three to qualify for Euro 2021.
