Today, the Turkish Workers' Party launched a campaign to collect signatures in a number of Turkish states, denouncing the aggression launched by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Syria, stressing the need to address the latter's reckless policies towards Syria in particular and the region in general.

The party has deployed many of its members in the main streets of Ankara, Istanbul, Izmir and a number of other states to collect the signatures of Turks, most of whom refuse to attack Syria.

The party’s statement, in which signatures are collected in its favor, expresses rejection of Erdogan's reckless policies against Syria and its support and protection for terrorists there, especially in Idlib governorate, stressing that Erdogan's positions do not represent the Turkish people but represent him and his party identifying with terrorist organizations.

The statement pointed out that the aggression of the Turkish regime against Syria comes in the service of the imperialist designs in the region and against the interests of the Turkish and Syrian peoples and the rest of the peoples of the region.

On the twenty-second of last month, the party denounced Erdogan's provocative policies towards Syria, stressing the necessity of completely withdrawing the Turkish regime forces from Syrian territory and respecting its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The terrorist organizations deployed in Idlib receive direct support from the Turkish system and by various means and weapons, as this system relies mainly on supporting terrorist groups on advanced marches that provide fire support as well as exploratory and guidance information for terrorist attacks.
