Iranian regime embarrassment: At least 23 MPs have been diagnosed with Corona disease, senior officials of the country revealed on Tuesday.

Abdul-Reza Misri, deputy Majles spokesman, Iranian parliament, told Turkish news agency Anadolu today that all meetings between parliamentarians and ordinary citizens, including hospital visits and rallies, have been suspended until further notice.

Meanwhile, the Iranian news agency Ilana reported that the chief of emergency services in the country was also diagnosed with coronary disease, apparently after being exposed to patients as part of his job.

The official death toll in the country's corona virus outbreak today is 77 and the number of people infected has risen to 2,236, the most serious outbreak in the Middle East. In-state officials have previously testified that official figures are far lower than the actual number of patients and the dead.

Iran's state radio announced the death of Mir Muhammad Mahmadi, a member of the country's top leader advisory committee, Ali Khamenei, as a result of covid19's illness.

Mahmadi, 71, is the most senior Iranian who died as a result of the outbreak of the Corona virus in the Islamic Republic and his death was determined at a hospital in the capital of Tehran.
