A celebrity evening for Ruinart and David Shrigley at the Opéra Bastille

IN PICTURES - Maison Ruinart celebrated its collaboration with the British artist in Paris on Thursday evening, in the presence of numerous celebrities.

Attention, exceptional evening. And, as the giant work hung on one of the walls of this monumental room announced: "It won't be like this forever" .

Thursday, March 5, the world of contemporary art met in a hidden room of the Bastille Opera in Paris, where no night owl had ever entered. Maison Ruinart unveiled the exhibition "UNCONVENTIONAL BUBBLES / BULLES SINGULIERES", an artistic reinterpretation of its know-how, vintages and heritage by the English artist David Shrigley.

The Maison presented on this occasion a limited edition Jeroboam, in a box signed David Shrigley. It is the first time that an artist intervenes directly on the emblematic Ruinart bottle, whose form is inherited from the 18th century. A functional object, the box is transformed into a champagne bucket at the time of tasting: its base can accommodate ice to refresh the House cuvées.
