The virus is spreading across government. Culture Minister Franck Riester announced that he had tested positive for Covid-19 on Monday evening. However, he claims to be "in good shape" and currently remains at his Parisian home.
"The minister was tested positively today" after having manifested "symptoms," said the cabinet, noting that Franck Riester had spent several days last week in the National Assembly where several cases were confirmed, especially within of the Culture Commission.
Five deputies have already been infected in the National Assembly. They were placed in confinement. In total, in France, 1,412 contaminations were counted according to an assessment by Public Health France, which counts 30 dead.
