The Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that the US forces bombing Iraqi government headquarters is an aggressive act, pointing out that Iraq will file a complaint with the United Nations and the Security Council in this regard.
The ministry’s spokesperson, Ahmed Al-Sahaf, said in a statement today, carried by Al-Sumaria News, that the American forces ’bombing of Iraqi government headquarters is a hostile act and a violation of sovereignty.
He added that the US bombing of government security and civilian headquarters undermines efforts to combat terrorism and violates the agreement between Iraq and the international coalition, noting that Iraq will address a complaint through two identical letters to the United Nations and the Security Council regarding this aggression.
Five Iraqi soldiers and a civilian were killed and others wounded in a new American aggression yesterday targeting Karbala airport in Najaf province and a number of Iraqi army, police and popular mobilization sites in other regions of the country.
