Kanush Jahanpur, director of the information center of the Iranian Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education, announced that the number of deaths in the country due to the Corona virus has risen to 611 people.
The Iranian news agency, IRNA, quoted Jahanpur as saying in a press statement today that, according to laboratory results, during the past 24 hours, 1365 new cases of the newly infected Corona virus (Covid 19) were registered, bringing the total number of infected people in the country to 12729 so far.
Jahanpur added: "During the past 24 hours, 97 of those infected with the emerging coronavirus have died, bringing the total number of deaths to 611," noting that the total number of people recovered reached 4,339.
