(ANSA) - ATHENS, MARCH 22 - Greece decreed the general lockdown starting on Monday. This was announced by Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis. "I have given orders that all appropriate steps be taken to enforce the ban on all unnecessary displacements in the country starting on Monday at 06.00 orally", the head of government indicated in a televised message to the nation. "Only those who go to work, to the doctor or to someone who needs help, to go shopping or to the pharmacy, to carry pets or to exercise alone or with another person, can circulate in the streets" specified the premier. After its first victim for coronavirus, on March 12, Greece has progressively taken severe measures to limit meetings and exhibitions, schools, shops and entertainment venues have been closed.
