A Moovit report reveals the impact of the spread of the Corona on public transportation in Israel and around the world.

In Israel, the steep decline in the use of public transport began on March 11, and today its percentage of use in relation to a normal day has dropped by about 57%.

In New York, the decline began on March 9 - despite formal restrictions being imposed only later. In other words, the public voted even before official decisions. Today, the decline in New York City public transportation is 50.5% higher than usual.

In London, the public reacted similarly to New York. Although no restrictions were imposed by the administration, the London public began to abandon public transport on March 9. Most British people still use public transport, but the volume of use is currently down 40.8% compared to normal.

The European city where there has been a significant decline will soon be in Milan and the Lombardy region. The decline began earlier than the rest, on February 24, and currently stands at 85.1%. This is the largest decline in use worldwide.
