If the tsar puts his body into it, it means that the situation is serious. Vladimir Putin today visited the Komunarka hospital in Moscow, where suspected cases of coronavirus are hospitalized. The president recovered as he lowered himself into a yellow protective suit and then, wearing a diver-like mask, went to the infectious disease department accompanied by health personnel and chief Denis Protsenko. The images will travel around Russia - perhaps the world - and therefore have not been shot at random: the message is wanted.
In short, after the "everything under control" phase, the Kremlin is rapidly moving on to the "we are ready for war" phase.
So the commander in chief inspects the troops at the front. Which in this case are doctors, nurses and hospitals. The construction of a second center, also in Komunarka, is proceeding with forced stages. On the other hand, the main battle against the virus will be fought right in the capital. The mayor, Serghei Sobyanin, who is also the head of the coordination group in the fight against the virus, in a meeting with Putin, before the visit, was frank. "The situation is serious, the dynamic of contagion in Moscow is important," he said.
"The measures we have taken here must be extended in the provinces: low numbers of infection may not correspond to a low spread".
Already. It was murmured, now admitted. And if all in all Moscow could be ready, with over 5 thousand lung fans already stored in the city, it is in deep Russia, where the state has always creaked, that the worst is feared.
The leaked indiscretions are not encouraging, it seems that even the most essential resources are missing. But the wind, in the buildings, seems at least changed.
