The President announced the distribution of Chloroquine in New York. Donald Trump thinks drug could 'be a game-changer

Donald Trump once again praised the merits of chloroquine, an antimalarial drug that he believes could "really make a difference" in the fight against coronavirus if it is used as a treatment.

"There is a good chance it can have a huge impact. It would be a gift from heaven if it worked. It would really be a game changer. We will see, "said the President during his daily press briefing.

The WHO for its part calls for caution regarding chloroquine, because of the small number of patients taking it while they had the coronavirus.

In France, the High Council of Public Health ruled on Monday that chloroquine could be administered to patients suffering from "severe forms" of Covid-19, but should not be used for "less severe" forms, according to the Minister of Health Olivier Véran.
