THE DAY OF - Patrick Grainville, writer member of the French Academy, reveals a text on his experience of confinement.

First, I bought a shopping cart. It was the founding act. The first day of confinement. The hardware store was still open. The next day, it closed. An elegant black shopping cart. Everyone congratulated me. In fact, he was left alone on the sidewalk, claiming, just in front of the storefront. It would have been colorful and trivial that I would have bought it just as much. Then I put on my cap offered by a friend painter and sculptor who lives in the Landes, isolated for a long time. Thus helmeted, covered, I was Ben Hur on his chariot, but a Ben Hur on the late.

I used to go shopping every day. My friends cried out in chorus about my madness. You had to limit yourself to once a week and stuff everything in my freezer. But I only have a small freezer associated with my fridge. Never mind! I ordered a freezer on the internet and I am still waiting for it.

Every day it becomes improbable. The recommendations with which I was assailed also disgusted me in advance.
