The arrival of a Chinese medical aid batch for the detection of infection with the Coronavirus

A batch of medical aid has arrived at Damascus International Airport today from the People's Republic of China for Syria, in order to detect the infection of the new Corona virus, which has infected many countries of the world.

In a statement to reporters at Damascus International Airport, Dr. Faisal al-Miqdad, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, expressed Syria's appreciation for China's stances alongside Syria and for the medical assistance provided to the Syrian people, which represents a true expression of the People's Republic of China’s keenness to help Syria and all countries of the world in dealing with the Corona virus.

The Ambassador of the People's Republic of China in Damascus, Phuong Piao, explained that this medical aid consists of test kits to diagnose Coronavirus infection, which is the first batch that is provided to Syria and will be followed by other batches, knowing that previously there was an exchange of medical expertise via the Internet between doctors in hospitals in both friendly countries with regard to confronting Emerging virus.

For his part, Assistant Minister of Health Dr. Ahmed Khelifaoui indicated that the medical assistance provided by China contributes to supporting the health system in Syria, which suffered a lot as a result of terrorist acts and unilateral coercive measures imposed on the Syrian people.
