The IDF (Friday) believed that the three-point border barrier with Lebanon was a coordinated provocation by Lebanese along the fence. The border fence was cut at three points: Metula, Yiftah and Aviv.

Following warnings along the fence, forces were scoured in the area to detect rupture of the fence and light bombs were fired. A team from a handful responsible for the integrity of the fence, began repairing the found tears. The IDF emphasized that an intrusion into the territory of Israel and the reasons for the incident were being investigated.

It was also reported that "the damage to the fence is a very serious event. The IDF sees the Lebanese government as responsible for its territory."
