(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, APRIL 22 - The collapse of consumer confidence in the EU continues: in April 2020 the DgEcfin indicator fell by 11.1 points in the euro area and by 11.6 points in the EU-27. The EU Commission reports. The previous month had dropped by 5 points and 4.5 points respectively. At current levels (−22.7 points in the euro area and −22 in the EU), the indicators "are close to the negative records recorded during the big recession of 2009", reports the EU.
