(ANSA) - ROME, APRIL 24 - Celi has made public the CBook, the web application for reading and analyzing the classics developed in collaboration with teachers and students since 2013, used and reworked in recent years in different Education and Digital Humanities for schools. The discovery and connection between digital resources on the web (linking), the mapping of places of literature (literarygeography), the automatic and manual analysis of dialogues in a literary work are three example themes of DigitalHumanities that can be addressed in educational activities.
"Over the years, - explained the company - together many students and teachers we have read, analyzed and 'composed' some classics of literature including Ipromessi sposi by Alessandro Manzoni, The adventures of Pinocchio di Collodi, The tragedy of Romeo and Juliet di Shakespeare, which we make public, in part, on the website webcbook.it. The acronym 'CBook' is the abbreviation of 'CrunchedBook', that is, a decomposed, nibbled book ... We want to open books, go inside, take pieces here and there thence, analyze some portions of text in detail, if necessary, or read everything from a distance (distant reading), try to walk in the narrative woods, 'decompose' the book and reread it in a non-linear way ".
