(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 1 - President Donald Trump has spoken with Michigan demonstrators - some of the qualifiers and with bulletproof vests - who for days have protested the lockdown imposed by the democratic governor Gretchen Whitmer to prevent the spread of the pandemic. Loriporta the CNN.
"The governor of Michigan should give up and put out the fire," tweeted Trump. "These are very short people, but they are angry. They want to get their lives back, safely! Look at them, talk to them, make a deal." Concerned about the arrival of a spike in unemployment and the increasingly angry voters who could undermine the prospects of a re-election to the White House, Trump encouraged governors to ease the restrictions emanated in an attempt to slow the spread of the coronavirus.
