For several days, the Covid-19 epidemic has been in the background of the concerns of Donald Trump and his favorite television channel, Fox News, in favor of what the American president has dubbed the "Obamagate" .
Trump has constantly referred to what he describes as " the greatest political crime in American history by far!" Asked about the exact nature of the crime by a Washington Post reporter on Monday during a press conference, Trump was enigmatic. " Everyone knows what I'm talking about, just read the newspapers, except yours!"
This expression, taken up by the Fox News channel is a direct allusion to the Watergate affair, which had forced Nixon to resign in 1974. Several messages among the 120 or so that Trump wrote or quoted on his Twitter account on May 10, suggest that Obama has used the last weeks of his power to spy on members of the new Administration
