(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, JUNE 12 - "With just six months from the end of the" Brexit "transition period, much work remains to be done on the implementation of the protocol" on the Irish borders.
   So the vice-president of the EU Commission, Maros Sefcovic, alternate of the meeting of the mixed commission with the United Kingdom, on the implementation of the Divorce Agreement. At the end of the meeting Sefcovic said that "Michael Gove reiterated that the United Kingdom has no intention of asking for an extension of the transition period". Earlier, a Commission spokesman confirmed that negotiations between the EU and the United Kingdom on future relations "will be intensified" and will be held every "two to three weeks".
