(ANSA) - BERLIN, JUNE 12 - Angela Merkel's cabinet curated the reduction in VAT, foreseen in the 130 billion aid package. From July until December 31st, the rate will be reduced from 19% to 16%. The reduced rate is reduced from 7 to 5%. The goal is to stimulate consumption. In addition, families will receive a one-time bonus of € 300 per child. The two measures approved today by the Council of Ministers will now have to be approved by the Bundestag and the Bundesrat on 29 June.
