Today, a year later, the "practical steps" begin for the foundation of Ramat Trump, the location on the Golan Heights dedicated by Premier Benyamin Netanyahu to the American president for his recognition of Israeli sovereignty over the area conquered in Syria during the 6 Days War of 1967. The announcement was made by the Prime Minister himself in the government meeting in Jerusalem. Ramat Trump (in Hebrew the 'Trump Heights') until last June was called Bruchim, an agglomeration of small country houses perched on a hill where 15 people lived, mainly Russian immigrants. According to development plans, the place is set to grow thanks to the arrival of American and Canadian Jews. Highly bucolic but rather isolated, Bruchim - now Trump city - was part of Kela Alon, a much more affluent and organized settlement. The entire Israeli government and US ambassador David Friedman attended the new name ceremony.
