Washington - SANA: Federal Judge Royce Lamberth rejected a request by the administration of US President Donald Trump forbidden

Federal Judge Royce Lambert rejected a request by the administration of US President Donald Trump to ban the publication of a book by John Bolton, the former president's national security adviser, about his experience at the White House.

"While Bolton's unilateral behavior raises national security concerns, the government has not demonstrated that issuing a ban is the appropriate measure," Lamberth was quoted as saying by the Washington Post.

Bolton's book is scheduled to be published next week, but the US Department of Justice is trying to stop its release, while the US administration claims that the book contains classified information and that Bolton has not coordinated with the White House regarding its contents. Nevertheless, media outlets have published excerpts of the book containing sharp criticism of Trump.

For its part, the publisher said that the book was printed and distributed even though it was not put up for sale, so it cannot be practically suspended.
