"I knew the best and the worst in Spain at that time," recalls Brigitte Bardot, whose passage along the Andalusian coast caused a sensation in 1957, in the middle of the Franco dictatorship. The French actress was 23 years old and was the star of a film that was filmed but did not open in this country until many years later. A collection of more than 400 photographs like the one on the cover, taken during the weeks of filming and practically unknown, have just been rescued from oblivion and are now reliving that Spanish summer of BB, full of clichés, olés, beaches, flamingos and bulls.
