Formula One returns to Imola. In the afternoon the organizers will formalize the organization of a grand prize on the Santerno circuit. According to ANSA, the date chosen is that of November 1st. 

Formula One has been missing in Imola for almost fifteen years: on the Santerno circuit the San Marino GP has been held continuously from 1981 to 2006. One of the most dramatic pages in the history of motoring is also linked to the Imola circuit: the May 1, 1994, Ayrton Senna died of the consequences of a car accident on the track. The regional councilor for tourism, Andrea Corsini, the president of Formula Imola, Uberto Selvatico Estense, the prefect commissioner of the Municipality of Imola, Nicola Izzo, and the president of Con will also participate in the press conference, which will be held electronically.
