Maurizio Calvesi, among the most authoritative Italian art historians, died on July 24 in Rome at the age of 92 (he was born in Rome on September 18, 1927). He dedicated many of his studies to Baroque and Caravaggio, but his vision ranged until the twentieth century. (HANDLE)

He had dedicated many of his studies to the Baroque and Caravaggio, but his vision ranged until the twentieth century. Among his merits is that of the rediscovery of Futurism, to which he has sensitively contributed, but also the birth and development and deepening of the Avant - garde and New Avant - garde, among Duchamp eBurri.
