(ANSA) - BRASILIA, JULY 27 - Brazilian President JairBolsonaro returned today to the government-sponsored Palazzo Planalto after three weeks of absence for contracting the coronavirus.
"I'm going back to work today, there are many problems to solve, problems that others have abandoned" as a legacy to the next government, Bolsonaro said wearing a white mask and addressing a group of supporters waiting for him in front of Palazzo Alvorada, the official residence of the president in the area Eastern Brasilia. Bolsonaro continued his journey to the Planalto Palace, where meetings were scheduled with the ministers of Economy, Paulo Guedes, and of Defense, General Fernando Azevedo and Silva. "I am already immunized (...) but I avoid contacts," said the president on social networks. Bolsonaro, 65, tested positive for the coronavirus on July 6, thus entering a past quarantine period in his residence in Palazzo Alvorada. On Saturday, the head of state announced that his fourth test for the virus was negative. (HANDLE).
