Beer: consumption guided by taste for 60% of Italians

The survey - explains a note - was aimed at analyzing the Italian beer consumption habits in the first half of 2020, also analyzing the lockdown aspect. From the study report it emerges that "for Italians beer is mainly a meal drink", behavior - analysts argue - confirmed also in full health emergency by Covid-19 with beer that has been at the center of the occasions of consumption at home and, virtually, with friends and relatives for 1 Italian out of 4, especially for the target between 25 and 44, equal to 34% of the interviewees. The results also highlight that according to 37% of the interviewees, beer has helped to keep relationships with others firm even in the darkest moments of the pandemic. It is recorded that for many the lockdown was also the perfect opportunity to experiment, first of all with new types of beer (28%) but also with new consumption methods (14%). Assobirra reports that the wealth generated by the beer world amounts to over 9 billion euros in 2018, equal to 0.52% of GDP.
