Champions League: Adams leads Leipzig into the semi-finals for the first time

Eleven years after it was founded, Leipzig achieved the greatest success in the club's history against Atlético Madrid. Just before the end, Tyler Adams shoots RB into the semi-finals of the Champions League.

RB Leipzig is in the Champions League for the first time in its club history and is celebrating its greatest success. Julian Nagelsmann's team won 2-1 (0-0) against Atlético Madrid in Lisbon.

Dani Olmo scored the lead for Leipzig in his first Champions League appearance (50th minute). Substitute youngster João Félix equalized after a penalty kick (71.). Tyler Adams scored the winning goal for Leipzig shortly before the end (88th).

Since there is no return game in the final tournament, the Spaniards / Germans will meet their semi-final opponents Paris Saint-Germain next Tuesday (9 p.m., TV: Sky, live ticker: SPIEGEL.de). The French had already prevailed on Wednesday with two last minute goals against Atalanta Bergamo 2-1.
