Judo Association chairman Moshe Ponti was surprised when he received a phone call from the UAE tonight (Thursday).

Nasser El Tamimi, the director general of the Olympic Association of the Princesses, called Ponti and spoke with him excitedly about the establishment of relations between the two countries.

As you may recall, the Israeli judo team previously competed in the UAE with the Israeli flag, and the two met during the competition.
