The Ministry of the Interior announced today that the Hama Police Department has arrested three people who are promoting narcotic substances in the city.
The ministry stated in a statement, which SANA received a copy of, that within the framework of the ministry's efforts to combat the phenomenon of drug trafficking and abuse, and based on information received by the Hama Police Department outside of the presence of several persons promoting narcotic substances in the city, the police department managed to arrest three people.
She added that the police seized in their possession twenty bags packed with narcotic pills, each containing a thousand Captagon pills and a gun, and a private car, "Logan", was also detained, noting that the three persons confessed during their interrogation that they had used narcotic substances and promoted them to a number of people who were in the dark.
By examining their status, it became evident that there were several requests against one of them for crimes of theft and possession of an unlicensable weapon, indicating that the necessary action had been taken against them and they would be presented to the duly competent court.
