A hatching of eggs of Caretta Caretta turtles on the beach of Cala in Rosa Marina (Brindisi): it was noticed shortly after last midnight by a group of vacationers and a Ww sympathizer reported the event to the Wwf Levante Adriatico representative, Fabrizio Stagnani, who released a note. The episode is considered important on the Adriatic side, given that in the past "there have been no significant numbers of them", explains Stagnani, a volunteer at the WWF Molfetta Sea Turtle Recovery Center. "It appears that about fifty turtles have already come out of the nest", he says, defining "the incident worthy of attention, but worrying at the same time", because it seems "that no one noticed the brood" and therefore the eggs were " exposed to an infinite number of risks "throughout the incubation period.

"What bodes well is that the vacationers, who happened to be passing by on the beach tonight, sensed what was happening, immediately formed a spontaneous consortium to accompany the small turtles into the sea".
