Covid-19 in France: 7,017 contaminations and 25 deaths in hospital in 24 hours

Another 7,017 positive cases for Covid-19 have been recorded in France in the past 24 hours.

In total, 43 new sources of contamination have been identified, according to the latest report published by the Directorate General of Health (DGS) on Wednesday.

In addition, 938 were closed.

The positivity rate of the tests was established in France between August 24 and 30 at 4.3%, against 3.7% in the balance sheet of seven days ago, adds the DGS.

30,686 dead from Covid-19

As for deaths linked to the new coronavirus, 25 have been recorded since Tuesday in hospitals, bringing the total of deaths due to SARS-CoV-2 to 30,686, including 20,172 in hospitals.

The number of patients who died in medico-social and social establishments, such as nursing homes, was updated on Tuesday.

It was then established at 10,514.

Finally, 4,632 patients are still hospitalized for a new coronavirus infection.

Among the patients treated, 446 are in the intensive care units, against 424 the day before.
