Residents near the Lebanese border reported clear trails of anti-aircraft fire in the sky. According to Sana, some of the missiles fired were shot down by the Syrian air defense system.
In the attack that took place on the night between Monday and Tuesday of the week, at least 11 people were killed.
The same attack was attributed to Israel, and according to a report by the Syrian Center for Human Rights, among the dead were soldiers and civilians.
It was also reported that three Assad army soldiers were killed in the attack, including an officer in the air defense system, seven foreign fighters from the pro-Iranian militias and one civilian.
