(by Gina Di Meo) (ANSA) - NEW YORK, 09 SEPT - The curtain falls on the reality show that made the Kardashian-Jenner family famous.

The same family made the announcement with a post on social media.

"It is with sadness - we read - that we say goodbye to Keeping Up with the Kardashians. After 14 years, 20 seasons, hundreds of episodes and several spin offs, we have decided as a family to end this very special journey. We are infinitely grateful to everyone who all these years, during bad and good times, they have looked at happiness, tears, many relationships and children (birth, ed). We

will always keep the fantastic memories and the countless people we met along the way ".

"Without Keeping Up with The Kardashians - wrote KimKardashian - I would not be where I am today. I am incredibly attached to all those who have seen and supported me and my family over the last incredible 14 years".

The series focuses on the personal and professional life of the extended Kardashian-Jenner family.

It was created by Ryan Seacrest and went on the air starting from October 14, 2007 becoming, despite numerous criticisms, one of the longest and most followed reality shows in the United States.

Given the success, several spin offs have been created such as Kourtney and Khloe TakeMiami, Kourtney and Kim Take New York, Kourtney and Kim TakeMiami, Kourtney and Khloe Take the Hamptons, Khloe and Lamar, Sex with Brody, I Am Cait, DASHDolls, Life of Kylie , Rob & Chyna, Revenge Body with Khloe Kardashian and Flip It Like Disick.
