(ANSA) - VENICE, 09 SEPT - The safety threshold above which the raising of the Mose barriers to protect Venice from high water has been set at an altitude of +130 cm, compared to Punta della Salute. A measure capable of protecting 55% of the municipal area from flooding. The extraordinary Commissioner for Mose, Elisabetta Spitz, writes in the quarterly report on the progress of the work, which ANSA has viewed. The Commissioner himself and the Superintendent of Public Works, Cinzia Zincone, will decide the start of the uprising.
